Tondela promotes community photography exhibition

Tondela Municipality is inviting residents to contribute photographs for a collective exhibition dedicated to the feast day of Saint James, celebrated on July 25. The initiative, organised in partnership with the Terras de Besteiros Museum and the local Tourism Office, aims to highlight images captured by the community about the Portuguese Camino and its associated traditions. The exhibition will be on display at the Terras de Besteiros Museum and, simultaneously, made available online on the municipal official website.

Participation is open to people of all ages, regardless of photographic experience. Each participant may submit up to five images, provided they relate to the theme, and all submissions will be reviewed before being included in the exhibition, ensuring they are relevant and free of offensive or violent content. Photographs must be submitted by July 20 via the online form created for this purpose.

This is an opportunity to involve the local community and give visibility to different perspectives on the Camino, through images that may depict landscapes, heritage, pilgrims, or any other detail related to this route that crosses the region.

The exhibition, entitled “Images of the Camino de Santiago”, can be seen at the Terras de Besteiros Museum from July 25 to September 15. During the same period, the online version of the exhibition will be available on the Tondela Municipality website.
