The foyer of Cine-Teatro Avenida, in Castelo Branco, will host another session of the Conversas no Caminho (Conversations on the Camino) series on 18 June, at 6:00 pm. Admission is free and open to all. The event is organised by Confraria dos Caminhos, TACITUS – Cultural Association, and Castelo Branco City Council.
The session includes two presentations followed by an open conversation with the audience. José Alberto Martins, physician and experienced pilgrim, will give a talk titled “One life, many missions and many paths”. The second speaker will be Joel Cleto, archaeologist, historian and public communicator of History and Heritage, with the presentation “Camino de Santiago: a legacy of the past that resonates in the present”.
The Conversations on the Camino series aims to foster dialogue and exchange around the Camino de Santiago, bringing together speakers with different backgrounds and perspectives. The session in Castelo Branco follows this spirit of accessible, open discussion in an informal setting, where the audience is invited to listen, ask questions and take part.
No prior registration is required. The event welcomes pilgrims, researchers, curious newcomers, casual walkers or anyone interested in the history, spirituality or cultural relevance of the Camino. The initiative seeks to connect the theme to everyday life in the community, reinforcing the links between place, memory and the act of walking.
