Braga premieres documentary about the Camino

The Brazilian documentary “Caminho de Santiago: as transições que transformam” (Camino de Santiago: the transitions that transform), by Naiara Back and Maycon Trainoti, will premiere in Braga on Sunday November 15, at the “Oboé by Lu Marinho” restaurant. The two filmmakers and Renata Manaia are the protagonists of the film, which is about half an hour long.

Naiara Back works in advertising, and Maycon Trainoti was a producer and co-writer of the short film “Somos todos imigrantes” (We are all immigrants). The three had little connection with one another and were at different stages of their lives when they set out, each with their own reasons. The Camino gave them the space to let go, reflect and make new choices, both personally and professionally.

In May 2025, the group took six days to walk close to 125 kilometers of the Portuguese Central Route, from Valença do Minho to Santiago de Compostela. The three talked about the courage to change course, fear, trust and acceptance, and the film shows how that experience continued to shape their decisions after they reached their destination.

The travel blog “Aqueles que Viajam” (Those who travel), by Naiara Back, is organizing the event, together with the production studio “Outsider Visual”. After the screening, there will be a conversation with the protagonists, and the program also includes a get-together with snacks and drinks. Registration must be completed here, and the admission fee is €25.
