IV Fórum Peregrino announced for May in Albergaria-a-Velha

Albergaria-a-Velha will host the IV Fórum Peregrino (4th Pilgrim Forum) on May 21 and 22, organized by the Portuguese Federation of the Camino de Santiago. An initiative for pilgrims, researchers and organizations dedicated to the Camino.

This edition’s program highlights the importance of land-use planning for pilgrim safety, the preparation plan for the 2027 Jacobean Holy Year, equestrian pilgrimage in Portugal and young European volunteering on the Camino de Santiago.

The initiative aims to promote reflection, dialogue and the sharing of knowledge, and includes tributes, cultural moments, testimonies from volunteer pilgrims and group sessions. Several activities are planned as part of the cultural and spiritual heritage associated with the pilgrimage.
