Póvoa de Varzim hosts discussion on the Caminos

The Rocha Peixoto Municipal Library, in Póvoa de Varzim, will host next Saturday, April 24, at 3:00 pm, the discussion “Caminos de Santiago”. The initiative is open to the public, with free entry, and aims to promote the sharing of experiences and reflection on the physical and spiritual paths that lead to Santiago de Compostela.

The session is organized by the Parish Council of Póvoa de Varzim, following a proposal by Miguel Sampaio, promoter of the Torres Camino and the Geira and Arrieiros Camino, and will include D. Roberto Mariz, auxiliary bishop of Porto, and the authors Pedro Gil Vasconcelos and Alberto Vilela.

D. Roberto Mariz regularly takes part in pilgrimage-related initiatives, which he practices both spiritually and physically. Alberto Vilela is a researcher and author of books on the Camino de Santiago. Pedro Gil Vasconcelos is a documentary filmmaker on the Camino and a passionate pilgrim.
