The municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha is launching the\u00a0Third Edition of its Photography Contest dedicated to the theme “Caminho de Santiago – Albergaria-a-Velha”<\/strong> (The Camino de Santiago – Albergaria-a-Velha), aiming to highlight this cultural route and its significance in the local identity.<\/p>\n

Open to amateur and professional photographers over the age of 16, the contest is free to enter, and registrations must be completed online through the municipality’s website<\/a>. Each participant may submit up to 10 original and unpublished photographs that have not won any previous awards. Entries must be sent in digital format (JPEG) via email to turismo@cm-albergaria.pt<\/a> or through the WeTransfer platform.<\/p>\n

Submissions are open from March 17 to June 1, 2025.<\/strong> After a pre-selection by the jury, the chosen images will be published on the municipality’s Facebook page for public voting from June 9 to June 30. The five photographs with the most reactions (“likes” or “loves”) will be the winners, provided they do not all belong to the same author.<\/p>\n

The cash prizes are as follows: \u20ac175 for first place, \u20ac125 for second place, \u20ac75 for third place, and \u20ac50 for both fourth and fifth places.<\/strong> All participants will receive a certificate of participation.\u00a0The results will be announced on July 3, with the prize-giving ceremony taking place the following day. To mark World Photography Day, the winning images will be displayed in an exhibition starting on August 19, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n
