This strategic location in the heart of Minho makes it an essential stopping point for those heading towards Santiago de Compostela.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1125, Ponte de Lima is the oldest town in Portugal, known for its history, traditions, and heritage. The medieval bridge, which connects the banks of the Lima River, is a symbol of the town and a testament to its importance throughout the centuries. Additionally, the town maintains a strong connection to rural life and nature, characteristics that make it unique in the context of the pilgrimage routes.<\/p>\n<p>Correlh\u00e3, the starting point of this section, is a parish rich in history and heritage. In addition to its connection to the <em>Camino de Santiago<\/em>, it stands out for the <em>Nossa Senhora da Boa Morte<\/em> Sanctuary and the <em>Matriz<\/em> Church, with architectural elements dating back to the Romanesque period.<\/p>\n<p>The project, besides enhancing the route with plants and flowers, also aims to <strong>promote local biodiversity and offer pilgrims and visitors an enriching experience<\/strong>.
